Give Back Initiative at the 1st Experimental Elementary School of Chalandri

For us, education is the spark that shapes future innovators and problem-solvers. Through our volunteering team “Give Back”, we turn that belief into action by creating meaningful learning experiences for young minds.

Recently, our Agentic Solutions #Qteam visited the 6th-grade classroom at the 1st Experimental Elementary School of Chalandri with one mission: to make Artificial Intelligence understandable, relatable, and exciting.

When AI Meets Curiosity

Through the workshop “AI & Data – Robots with a Mind”, students explored artificial intelligence, data, machine learning, and robotics through examples they encounter in their everyday lives. Rather than starting with technical definitions, we introduced AI through a simple concept:

“Artificial Intelligence is like a “smart computer” that learns from experience, just like we do.”

That simple idea sparked a wave of curiosity across the classroom.

How does AI learn? – What is the data? – Can robots really think?

As the discussion unfolded, students eagerly shared their own experiences with technology, turning the session into an interactive exchange of ideas and questions.

Learning Through Play

The highlight of the workshop came when theory became action.

Students first discovered how robots learn through trial and error, using the example of a robotic vacuum cleaner navigating obstacles. Soon after, the classroom became a live robotics laboratory.

Our team placed balls around the room, creating a playful challenge for the robots. Guided by their sensors, the robots had to detect the objects, adjust their path, and move towards them in real time. Every change of direction and every successful interaction was met with excitement and anticipation from the students.

In that moment, AI was no longer an abstract concept. It became something they could see, understand, and experience firsthand. Students experienced firsthand how:

  • Sensors collect data
  • AI processes information
  • Decisions translate into movement

Shaping Tomorrow

The energy and thoughtful questions from the students reminded us why early exposure to technology matters. Digital literacy is not only about using technology. It is about understanding it, questioning it, and shaping it responsibly.

We thank the school community for welcoming us, and our Qualco Agentic Solutions volunteers for sharing their passion, knowledge, and time.

At Qualco Group, initiatives like these are part of our commitment to creating a positive impact beyond the workplace. Through our #QGiveBackTeam, our people actively contribute to the communities around us, inspiring the next generation while sharing the skills and experiences that drive innovation every day.
