He tried football and basketball during childhood but excelled in basketball while playing for a children’s team in Kalamaria. His coach thought his height limited his potential and recommended exploring sailing, his passion ever since.
For Iordanis, feeling the sea and the wind is an elixir of life and youth that constantly motivates him to seek new experiences and achievements.
He competes in the Nacra 17 category, widely considered one of the most demanding sailing categories. Dannyboy, as they called him, when not sailing, he likes skiing, trekking, and cycling.
He has spent 72 hours on a 6-meter board in the Aegean seas in challenging weather conditions.
