Impressed by her agility, her track coach suggested she should try race walking. Although she initially disliked the sport, her coach insisted, believing she had mastered the technique.
With determination and three months of preparation, Antigoni won her first medal, which was later the springboard to love the sport to this day.
However, her interest in sports science diverted her dedication from artistic gymnastics for about eight years. Luckily, a bet with a friend led to her comeback in 2011.
Against those who told her she was old for the championship. She won two gold medals in 2022.
